Birds in my attic

Weird problem here. I, unfortunately, have birds nesting in my attic. I noticed a scratching and chirping sound coming from my bedroom bathroom ceiling. Realizing it was probably coming from our attic, I climbed up to take a look and confirmed my suspicions. They look like small birds probably sparrows or starlings. So how do I handle it? The area I live in does not have animal control that deals with wild animals (strays only, I guess). I also have little desire to kill these birds, just want them out of my attic. Anyone have any experience with niusance animal control companies? Do they kill the animals they catch or release them back into the wild? Anyone have any idea what it might cost? TIA.

??

You could build one yourself with that link, you're lucky man i have a nest of skunks under my porch foundation. I need an answer of how to remove that

Got a bird cage? You can easily catch them with some string and seed by rigging the cage door, then just let them go.

Your best bet right now is to find out how they are getting in and seal it off. If they can't get back in your problem is solved, and if they are stuck in your problem will be gone in a few days.

Not sure yet. Need to go up there in the daytime and check around. There is a metal vent up there. I'm guessing that's how they got in.

EDIT: I do not have a birdcage. It also appears that they have a nest up there. I don't know if they're just going to leave that. Didn't get a good look so I don't even know if there are eggs or not. 🙁
