Birding with the 135L

With my Sigma still in for AF calibration and a photography club trip coming up, I decided to impulse-buy a Canon 135L (since that was the only decent EF lens I could find on craigslist). I figure I can always sell it and get my money back if I don't need it later.

Quick impressions: The lens is about the size of a 12 ounce can, and weighs about 2 pounds. Manual focusing ring is quite wide and well-damped. The biggest shocker is the AF speed...it is incredibly fast, faster than any lens I've ever used.

Anyway, since the weather was bad in Annapolis today I decided to try some bird shots (since everything else was owned by the overcast sky).

What do you guys think of some of the shots?

Love the last one. Beeeeaaautiful shot. God the bokeh from that thing is so creamy smoooth.

Wish I had the dollars to pick up an L lens as an impulse buy ^_^

I would keep that lens - they are all excellent shots.

Just curious, why are they signed "Morgan Yang, 2008?" This is 2009, no?
