Bird question

I did a search on House Sparrows and I found something disturbing. I found some websites claiming these birds kill other birds for their nest. Those birds are small and look harmless and I have been feeding them since last winter, however if any of this is true I am going to stop. Does anyone know anything about this or had experiences with these birds killing other birds?

Animals kill things. I have no idea if it's true or not, but why would this alarm you? It's not like they kill children.

its natural, i mean why punish the bird for doing what it has always done to survive? Animals kill other animals... its nature. And i dont think that your not feeding the bird is going to make it realize it should be nice to the other birds etc

They kill the chicks as well. I don't want to be supporting the animal version of a demented biker gang. They show up at my house everyday for food. But if they go off marauding other birds they can starve.
