A friend of mine has a bird nest on top of his bow window, possibly a robin's nest. There is an awning about 2 feet above the top of this window.

Is there any harm in leaving the nest there or should it be removed?

The harm would be to the baby birds likely in the nest. Not sure if the little ones have flown off at this point or not. It shouldn't do any harm, except for the work in cleaning the bird poop off the windows and such. You need to wait until later in the summer after the little ones have flown off to remove the nest (unless you hate birds and don't care about killing the little ones).

Thanks for the replies. It's difficult to see the whole nest, but you can see it hanging over the top of the window. From the ground it looks like the nest is about 2 feet wide which seems huge for a birds nest.
