bioshock wont let me change resolution

i have a 22" widescreen LG and everytime i try to change the resolution to anything in bioshock the game minimizes and stops responding.. anyone know whats going on?

Dunno then. I had issues where the game wouldn't save my settings and would always revert every other startup. I finally just left the game on and played it through in one sitting over the weekend. Then I uninstalled it. At least I can say that I saw what it offered.

yeah its weird, it worked fine on 32x vista, i just upgraded to 64x vista this weekend and now this

Are you able to edit the config files or use a command line to set the res?

Knowing Bioshock, you need to pay a fee in order to change the resolution of game. Its one of the DRM concepts to combat piracy. A bootleg or otherwise improperly activated game will not allow resolution changes. :p

i was able to adjust the resolution by editing default.ini


however, i am still getting some BSODs in game.. and it keeps happening at the same spot.. either after i kill this big daddy or use this garden machine in haphaestus. i think there is a problemwith my cd
