Bioshock: Infinite

I didn't see a thread for this game and wanted to get a conversation going on it. We're just a couple days away, and this game looks amazing.

This may finally be one that I won't be able to wait for the first price drop. Loved the first 2 and the reviews are glowing thus far for Infinite.

I think I might actually go buy this game. I usually don't buy them brand new like this, but this game might be worth a replay after, or to just keep it permanently. Getting great reviews from all sources, which is very rare these days with companies putting out a new title every 6 months or a year.

One of the few times I actually pre-ordered a game just based on prior track record and from the reviews coming in so far it looks like the gamble paid off.

Should be waiting for me when I get home from work.

I loved the shit out of the original. Beat it twice, will probably go through it a third time eventually.

Second one was solid, but was more of the evolutionary step, rather than revolutionary like the first. Just smoothed things out. Still a very good game.

I'm expecting Infinite to be more like the first in that regard. Obviously it won't be quite the same, but I think it'll be amazing. Should be at my door within a few hours. Can't wait.

if i didn't have shelves to build to put my new surround speakers on the wall, i would have already gotten bioshock from redbox. i will definitely get around to playing it at some point.

That is true, and would be one of the main reasons why I would be getting it on the 360. I think I will see if I like it enough for a purchase, and if so I will just buy it from gamefly.

I played a little bit of 1 and never touched two, but I am excited for this one.

I also played a little of the first, never touched the second. So I'm surprised you're that excited about the third. I honestly couldn't care less about the whole series after tiring of the first one quickly.

It just looks really good. And I got it on gamefly, so I can try it out instead of spending $60 and then playing it for a weekend and not liking it.

1 was awesome, 2 I didnt care for at all. but I am excited about 3, must be the Miyazaki influence that grabbed me.

I preordered from gamestop, did that pre-game to get some stuff. How do I sync it to my actual disc? I was never asked or seemed to have an option to log in within the game itself, nor do I think gamestop is syncing their sales with the developer...but, I have no lockpicks, cash, or anything. I am guessing this is a very common question though google shows none like it yet that I see.

You're talking about the industrial revolution stuff it sounds like. There's a code on your receipt you use online at the website given. It's an online flash game that you have to get to level 12 or so to unlock stuff. Then you can get your console code.

Yep that's it. I did get some email, but when I use the email it send me to finkmanufacturing again and when I login I just don't see anything special, nor do I find anything on the game's dash board to enter a code even if I had one...

EDIT: Ah, the rewards interface is different on the site. I do see a code now. Still not sure where in the game to enter it, though 🙂

You might just enter your rewards code through the dashboard/PSN like you're activating a separate game. I'm on PC and I had to activate my code through steam like it was a separate game key, so maybe the consoles are doing it the same way.
