Bioshock Infinite

A new Bioshock game by the same studio who envisioned and brought to life the first Bioshock game? Takes place in the clouds? Deals the imperialism and xenophobia?

I'm in, Irrational, I'm very much in!

Also, let's not balk at the 2012 release date. I say, let Irrational Games take as long as they need to make a stunningly amazing game.

Looks pretty cool!

By the way, its Infinite, not Infiniti. I don't think Nissan has anything to do with it 🙂

The first Bioshock was much better than the sequel. With the original studio working on this one I'm stoked!!!

I enjoyed both of them, but definitely the first more than the second. I can't wait!

The second Bioshock sucked. Especially the story in it was just awful compared to the first one.

If this is being done by Irrational I have faith it will be better. 2K Marin has nothing on them.

Storywise the first was better. I actually enjoyed playing the second more though. Having a plasmid and a weapon available without switching definitely improved the flow.

I actually like the second one better.

The story of the first one was too familiar and shallow (I had played SS2 already):0, so I wasn't surprised. Not to mention the philosophy was stale.

The second game didn't have a good story either, but the mechanics were a lot better.

This new game just looks like bioshock in the sky, complete with reskinned big daddies and silly magic again.

I'm more into the story so the second one pretty much sucked, to the point that I stopped playing and didn't even bother finishing. If they had give you the power and strength of a real big daddy in the second one, it would've been more fun.

Um..You do have that.. Especially if you get the drill upgrades. One charge attack will kill most splicers instantly. And I'd argue you are WAY more powerful than the old big daddies once you include the upgraded plasmid abilities.

I'm talking about the feel of the old Big Daddies. Where you are much slower but lumbering around like a huge metal beast. The new weapons and plasmids aren't bad but you still move around like you do as a regular human and your big daddy armor doesn't protect you like it does a big daddy.

I dunno.

I went with drill specialist, so the only weapons I used were my drill and plasmids.

I could take big daddies on easy.

Pretty much nothing could stop me.

This looks cool. I wasn't really sure where they could take the whole Bioshock/Rapture universe, and it looks like they are doing something completely different which is cool IMO.

As far as the previous games go I liked the story and newness of the original of course, but the second one really played better overall. The controls were better, and not having the swap between weapon and plasmid was a huge improvement in terms of combat flow. Basically, it was the first game with tweaks and minor changes to make the game more enjoyable - exactly what I want out of a second installment of a game that I liked. "More of the same" is okay for a part two IMO, but a game better either be amazing or they need to do some serious revisions by part three. It seems that 2K recognizes this.
