Hi guys,

It is me again. I am confused with the bios driver version. I have asus p67 deluxe. It says that my bios version is 1401. But when i go to the Asus bios drivers I can not find this driver. There are only 1204, 1503 ext. So what is going on?

Thanks

Well, the P8P67 vanilla board has a 1401 BIOS. You made a reference in your other thread about a company setting up the board? Is this the BIOS that came with the board, or did someone build/set it up for you? If the latter, they might have installed the wrong BIOS.

I ordered pc from the company. They put asus p867 Deluxe mobo in my pc. After that they did stress test and deliver it to me. So, first time i turned pc on I saw this bios version.

If it ain't broke, don't "fix" it.

I think what bankster55 was trying to say is that some boards were shipped with BIOSes that are not available for release on Asus' support site. Maybe.

if your system is working fine, don't update the bios. you can kill a board with a bad BIOS flash.

Is it already showing signs of being unstable? No? Don't worry about it. Yes? Then let's suggest a couple things to try such as Prime95, monitoring CPU temperature, running Memtest.

Is it overclocked? No? Don't worry about it. Yes? Then let's suggest a couple things to try such as Prime95 and monitoring CPU temperature.

There are more "thorough" tests than Prime95, but it should be sufficient for casual users. I usually run it until temperatures stabilize. 15-30 minutes should be good. If it hasn't crashed by then, then it probably won't. Use RealTemp to monitor CPU temperature.

Note that this does not apply to extreme overclockers or to those who overclock to an inch of the silicon's life.

I am gaming alot, video editing, web design programs and movies. Iran prime 95 for 17 hours. It is stable with 0 errors. So, as far as i understand my system is stable. It is oced to 4.1ghz. 2600K. 64c as a max temp of the hottest core. Other cores get to 58-60 as max. Those temps sre from prime 95. I used real temps and hw monitor. Cpu-z voltage 1.18.

Just to make sure, is it possible that my bios version will let me know about it later, like 3-4month. I mean, is it possible that it does not do any harm per now, but might in the future.

Thanks
