Bios

I have a AMD X2 3800+ and from what I have learned the memory controller is on the CPU, correct?

Well when I restart, reboot the system at the bios when it shows the controllers and IRQs they are assigned to, I see two of them with N/A next to them:

Memory Controller N/A
Input Device N/A

Any thoughts on this?

THANKS

It would certainly make sense that the Memory Controller wouldn't have an IRQ assigned if it's on the processor, though for yours specifically, I don't know for sure whether it is, and TBH, I don't know if mem controllers get IRQs assigned anyway.

The 'Input Device' not having one assigned could just be due to having a disabled device on your machine (possibly something built-in to the MoBo), or due to having a (hopefully unused 😀) device with no drivers installed. ACPI is a lot more far-reaching on any Win32 OS than you might think :\

Just a guess, but maybe you're using both a USB keyboard and mouse? And as far as the memory controller goes, it's on the CPU now.

Yes I'm using USB Keyboard/Mouse. I'm surprised for the bios screen it would show the memory controller with a IRQ or that, there is none, since it is on the CPU and that this hasn't been removed, hmm I guess I'll have to mention that to Abit then.

THANKS
