what do i set this to ide conefiguration pci ide to legacy or native. ide to p-ata or s-ata do i need to enabled 32 bit transfer under hd

mother board is a ASUS P4SD-LA

What kind of hard drive will be the boot drive, what other hard drives will it have (if any), and what operating system will you be using? Also, if you can give a full spec list, sometimes that helps people have more insight. :) Welcome to the Forums :)

I would leave the drives at Auto in the BIOS, set the controller scheme to Enhanced so you can use your SATA ports as well as your PATA ports, and set the "IDE" to the PATA drives. I confess to not having downloaded the manual for that motherboard yet... if you run into trouble, post again and I'll get the download going (56k connection here :p) and look at it in person.
