BIOS upgrde for 3com/USR 2977 PCI hard modem

Hi,

I bought a modem 3Com/US Robotics 2977 PCI hardware on eBay, but it looks like dead 😱(
Not recognized by windows... tried two different computers. Downloaded drivers from USR site. Didn't help.

Can I flash modem BIOS? Any advice where can I get it's BIOS and flashing program? There's nothin on 3Com or USRobotics sites...

Hrmm. Its not even recognizing that a modem is being installed? If thats the case it looks like the modem is dead.
What OS are you running? Computer specifications would help too... You might want to contact the person that sold you this modem on ebay and see if the seller will do anything about it. If not contact ebay and make sure people know this seller is bad.
