I want to update my BIOS on my motherboard, an ASUS A7V8X. The thing is, no matter whether I use EZ Flash (ASUS own update thingy) or AFLASH I can't seem to access the option that says "update BIOS including Boot Block and ESCD". The only option I can access is "update BIOS without Boot Block and ESCD".

The manual clearly states that I need to update both Boot block area as well as the main BIOS area. What to do? anyone? Without updating my BIOS fully I'm worried that my overclocking ability will be severely limited...
 
Both BIOS flash thingys are DOS-based, but still... What is up with my monitor? It won't start back up when rebooting or using the reset-switch??? I have to power down and turn it on again for the monitor to start again...
