Bios Update Help

Ok, first off I have some idea what I am doing except for the whole bios update thing.

I have an ASUS A8N-SLi Deluxe with 1002 on it and I am trying to go to 1016 (or if anyone has any better recommendations......).

When I put in a floppy disk (I have 10 of them and they all do the same thing) an error comes up and says, "A:\ is not accessible. No ID address mark was found on the floppy disk."

How am I to update with no floppy?

Please, if there are any replies, make them detailed as I am not literate 😛

There should be a Windows version bios update program.
Go into bios and re-set to "default optimized settings" first (no: over-clock or over-volt).
Reboot into Windows and run the bios update from there.

ummm....

Ok, so I downloaded the AWDFLASH utility from ASUS. It is an executable file that won't execute in windows. I am to bundle that with the bios file in a floppy drive. I don't have a floppy....

What and where is this windows update tool......

Specifics.......please
