i set the multiplier factor on my new AMD t-bird to 10, and fsb to 105/33 mhz. For some odd reason when the computer boots it reads the multiplier factor as 8 instead of 10 slowing down the processor. I tried kicking it up to 11, and when i do it reads the multiplier as 11. So now it runs too fast and crashes. This is a sudden thing and has not happened before.

Why wont it read the multiplier factor as 10 ?!?!

Alright, this is one of my friends and I told him to post cause I'm stumped too. I'll fill in all the gaps he missed.

Tbird 800 guarenteed at 1.05ghz (copper)
Abit KT7
2 IBM 75gxp raided
CL GF2 GTS
3com nic
SB live Value
and all that other crap

I built the comp for him a couple days ago and it overclocked fine. I had it set to 1.1ghz, but apparently that was too high. He set it to 1.05ghz, but now it'll only run at default mutliplier. It can't be the level 1 bridges, because they were connected earlier plus it will POST at 1.1ghz.

Did you get it unlock or did you unlock it?
If you unlocked it yourself I would try it again;p
