BIOS ROM checksum error

My computer froze while booting up and when I restarted it, I got this "BIOS ROM checksum error". I've tried clearing my Epox 8K7A mobo using the jumpers, but it didn't do anything. It asks for a system disk so I put in my boot disk with the newest mobo drivers on it. It starts to load awdflash.exe but errors and says "Load AWDFLASH.EXE Failed". I don't know what else to do. Any help would be MUCH appreciated, thanks.

clear the bios first and reboot again-see if that fix it--I encountered this probs before--i clear bios and update bios immediately (i fear of corrupted bios)--that fixed my probs. Good Luck

Are you actually going into the BIOS and letting it autodetect your hard drive? Clearing CMOS wipes that info out.

It finally loaded awdflash.exe correctly so I re-flashed my bios and now it boots correctly. Thanks for trying to help.
