Occasionally on a reset, never a cold boot, the bios rejects the CD saying "secondary slave drive incompatible". I changed the drive to sec master but still get the same thing. Any Ideas?? Should a CDROM be a secondary slave or master?
thank you

If there is no other drive on the IDE secondary, then master. Otherwise, slave. Many mobos have cable-select channels where which IDE connector you use makes a difference, so that may be a cause. However, this sort of problem should be continuous, not warm-reboot related. Got me stumped on that part...

Well, good luck.
