Hi, new owner here and still learning the ins and outs of putting a computer together. I recently built a box with the P5N32-E SLI Plus, and need some help with configuring the BIOS settings. Currently everything is set to Auto, which seems to be a bit unstable. I was wondering if you guys can lead me to the right direction on what kind of settings I need to set to get the computer running at stock:

Mobo: P5N32-E SLI Plus
CPU: Conroe E6600
RAM: Patriot eXtreme Performance 2GB (PDC22G6400LLK PC6400, 4-4-4-12)
Video: Geforce 7800GTX 512 (2 cards, SLi)

Please help! I think with auto settings the memory isn't liking the voltage. What can I do in BIOS to get it stable?

Check your memory's standard rated voltage and set it to that if it isn't already. Some BIOS's seem to default to higher voltages for reason I'm not quite sure about.

For example, on my 680i motherboard, before I updated my BIOS my memory had the voltage auto-set to 2.3v, which ran stable for me. After the lastest update, it dropped down to 1.8v, which still runs stable.

Edit: That memory is spec'd at 2.2v

Manual Overclocking (even if you don't overclock).

FSB 1066, Mem 800

Voltage:

VCore 1.3V-1.3125V (start with lower)
VMemory 2.178V - 2.278V (unless you have 2.2V setting)
NB voltage Auto (raise to 1.56 if unstable)
VCore offset - Auto (or none)

LDT Frequency 5x (reduce to 4x if unstable)

Memory timings: 4-4-4-12-2T - very important!

See how it works...
