Ok heres what happened...

my aunt got a pc at a pond shop. she wanted me to install windows for her. i started installing it when i found out theres a built in antivirus that stopped the installation....sumthing like (BOOT WRITE POSSIBLE VIRUS: CONTINUE? y/n) but it wouldnt let me type anything it froze. so i wanted to disable the antivirus but there was a bios password. I wanted to take out the battery but it was one of those batteries that are soldered onto the mb. So i got a bois password cracker. It was a trial version so it didnt show the last three letters. it asked me if i wanted to delete or collapse the BIOS to get rid of the password, but i would have to re program the bios.I typed yes. Now when i start it up it says "BIOS memory mismatch" or sumthing like that. Can anyone PLEASE HELP!!!!

ALL HELP IS GREATLY APPREACHIATED!

THANKS,

Well what you did was deprogramed the BIOS. You will have to find the website for the BIOS chip that is the machine and like it said reprogram (flash) the BIOS. If it is a old machine it is probably DEAD forever. By the way, what is a "pond" shop?

you shoulda just used a program called kill cmos...that would have cleared the password...oh well live and learn the hard way... =(

and sometimes you can find a jumper on the motherboard that will clear the cmos. you shouldn't be so gunhoe to take out the soldering gun...
