BIOS Misflash **Urgent**

Hey...I hope that no one will get pissed for me bringing up such an old thread, but I *really* need some help. I'm very close to getting an RMA for my board (a7n8x-e deluxe), but I really don't want to if I don't have to. I'm having problems like the previous posters, except it's a little different. I use the awdflash.exe off of the CD and it detects the file, but after it detects the file I get an error that says "This program file's BIOS-Lock String does not match with your system!" and my computer hangs until I cut the power. I've tried renaming the file and flashing all of the different BIOS revisions for the motherboard, but I keep getting the same error. I've tried resetting the CMOS and taking out the battery; neither worked. I've tried just about everything I can think of to get this board to POST and I still keep getting the Award BootBlock screen. If someone has any suggestions or (hopefully) solutions, please tell me. Any response is appreciated, and I hope this post wasn't too long. This is the most frustrated I've ever been with ANY computer.

I got the exact problem yesterday that Code89 have got... I have no clue about what I should do other than paying someone to replace the chip, or buy a new m/b... If nobody finds out (or I find it out myself) how to fix this error "The program file's BIOS-Lock String does not match with your system" before February, I most likely will buy an athlon64 upgrade...
I appreciate all help 🙂
