Bios issue

Almost a month ago I turned on my system and discovered that I had a corrupt bios, I flashed the motherboard and it seemed to flash and load correctly but upon reboot I received the same bad bios error. I contacted RMA and was told to RMA the motherboard.

I recieved the motherboard back from them about eight days later and installed it only to have the same issue, contacted RMA support to figure out what went wrong. They informed me that they cleared the CMOS and reflashed it, I told them that I think it was the bios chip and it might need to be replaced, they agreed and sent me a bios chip. I installed the chip and still got the same message upon booting the system, now I was perplexed. I contacted RMA support again and they agreed to send me another motherboard if I sent them mine first.

About five days later I received the "new" motherboard and it did the same thing upon boot up, now I'm really perplexed, I pulled the motherboard out removed the power supply from the case. I setup a bare bones sytem with just the MB, PSU,flat panel, video card, memory and CPU, and still had the bad bios message.

I contacted Asus RMA again and my case was transferred to the third time RMA department, I was told to expect a call from him the next day but if he did not to call him the day after. Well the next day I received no call so I called him the following day as soon as office hours started. I informed him that I had a barebones setup and wanted to know what else to do. He informed me that maybe the MB was shorting out on the system tray and to remove it from the tray and place it on some carboard, as I was at work at the moment I told him I would try that plus I would also try using other parts from another "working" system to see if I could narrow down the issue. Well, when I got home I did just that, I replaced every item except the PSU (I'll try another PSU when I get home) and tried the MB again and still I recieved the same corrupt bios message upon starting the system.

Any ideas? Thanks to anyone who can offer any help.
