BIOS hangs under hardware

When I go to BIOS setup and I go to Hardware Monitor Setup.. my BIOS freezes and have to restart the comp.. this is the only conflict I'm having and I'm just building the comp now.. does anyone know how to fix this?
 
anyone know what that means?? and since I can't get to that part I can't change the FSB to 133 so I can't flash my bios.. what should I DO?
 
Do you have variable speed fan attatched to ur motherboard? if so remove it, and try go into the bios. I used to have epox motherboard and the variable fan cause the problem.
