BIOS for A7N8X-E Deluxe

I was wondering does anyone have a modded BIOS or something for the A7N8X-E Deluxe that allows for a wider votlage range (up and down)?

CPC is called command rate in other BIOSes. All nForce2 chipsets have CPC on by default.

Sometimes you'll see RAM timings listed as 2-3-3-7-1T where 1T is command rate.
CPC on = command rate 1T
CPC off = command rate 2T

If you have problematic memory modules you may need to set CPC off for compatibility. It can also help you reach higher FSB overclocks, but it may not be worth the performance hit, as CPC off is slower than CPC on.

OH...I gotchya i didn't know it was the same thing. So which one would you recommend... i think im going for the one with the CPC on as thats what im at now, and also im not OCing past 220FSB because im running PC2700 Kingston Value Memory at 2.8Volts as it is. Thanks for the links and the help!

Basically you try CPC on and see if your memory can handle where you're trying to get. CPC off is generally only if your memory becomes a limit to your FSB. With CPC off you may be able to get higher FSB and get better overall performance. In most cases CPC on will yield better results even if your FSB isn't as high as you can get it since CPC off is lower performance.

If you're staying below 220, you'll probably do fine with that RAM. My 512MB stick of KVR PC2700 does 2.5-3-2 at 205 (even at 2.6v) with CPC on. I haven't pushed it any further than that, but I think it's safe to say that the motherboard FSB will probably be a problem before CPC off would yield better memory performance in that case.
