Hello all

I was wondering how to update my BIOS in Win 2K or XP. When I had Win 98 SE, I just had to make a boot disk and put BIOS flash in the floppy disk and start the computer. The reason I'm trying to flash my BIOS is because my mouse light stays on after I turn off the computer. It started doing it after I upgraded from Win 98 SE to Win 2K.

Thanks in advance!

Do the BIOS flash the same way you used to. Just boot from the flash floppy.

Really?

So just put the new version of BIOS files in the floppy disk and boot up the computer? I tried this and it didn't work. o_O;

Am I doing something wrong?

If it didn't work, I suppose you are doing something wrong. ;)

[*]Make a startup disk
[*]copy the flasher file and the bios file to the disk
[*]reboot the pc to the floppy and type in the proper command to start the flash

get this file
save it on your HD. put a disk in your floppy drive. double click on the file you downloaded. After the progrma executed, you should have a bootable floppy.
put the flash program and the bios file on the same disk. Reboot, change the boot sequence to boot from floppy. And go from there..
