I have tried flashing this board with the Award Utility and image M030910.bin at PC Chip's site. The utility is responding to my request that the Chipset part # does not match that which is identified in the flash file. The actual image name when unzipped is M811910.bin. I have tried several times to flash the board with no success. Any suggestions? I need to update because my Duron 1.4 is coming up Unknown 1600+.

When you are ABSOLUTELY sure you got an M811 there, you can override the warning and go ahead anyway. Else, don't.

It does not give me an opportunity to override it from what I can remember. It tells me the update will be not be valid, and dumps me back to an A:/.

The override switch needs to be given on the command line. Since I haven't done that for a long while, please read the instructions for the AWDFL utility.

I have looked around for the instructions for the utility and cannot find information on overriding the part # check. Anyone with some info about this, I would greatly appreciate it. Also, is this a common problem or should I be more concerned?

It isn't common at all. Are you attempting to flash from something else but pure DOS? From a Windows DOS command box, for any chance? This doesn't work.

Nope. I am using a clean boot disk. I have done this many times before, just not with this board. I do not understand what the problem is.
