Bios failure on Abit BG7

Hi
My Abit BG7 had been running great. Tonight I was playing a game and my PC crashed. Upon reboot, I got a Bios Checksum error. I shut down, unplugged my PC, reset the Bios Jumper, waited a minute, set it back and booted back up. After rebooting I got the same Bios Checksum error.

However Abit does allow you to boot from a floppy and reflash. On my other PC, I downloaded and copied the AWDFLASH.EXE and the BG7_00.BIN file to a boot floppy. I run the flash, and get the following error:

" FWH is write-protected"
"Please make sure whether lockout jumpers is set to correct or not"

I shut down, double checked my Bios jumper was set to default, then reset it again. Tried the reflash and got the same error. I tried re-downloading the bios files and copying them to a different floppy, and still get the same error.

Since there aren't any other Bios related jumpers on the motherboard, I am afraid that somehow my bios fried. I don't know what could have caused this. Like I said it was working fine, and this problem randomly happened after a crash.

This sucks. I looked all over the place and can't find anything about removing write protection from Award Bioses. Any ideas?

kc2gub-
did you even read my previous message? The whole purpose for the Bios/Cmos jumper on motherboards to to clear or reset it. I stated I did this a number of times.
