Bios doesn't recognize SCSI drive

How many boot devices are in the system? Video card(s), IDE controllers, bootable LAN, etc....you might have too much, and you can't have more than 128K worth.

With LSI cards, the adapter defaults to ID=7. You can boot from any ID number, just have to say which one in the adapter setup. I like to have my boot drive as ID=0, but that's just me... Until he gets into the adapter setup utility, all else is irrelevant.

you are hitting the possible key sequences at the right time, right? you want to hit them immediately after the mobo bios is done doing its thing, but before windows boots. might help to help to hold them for a few seconds beginning at the end of the mobo init. sequence.
