BIOS chip question

GeoffS

Lifer
I have a Tyan Tiger 133 (S1834D) Rev F. I recently managed to corrupt the BIOS somehow... dunno what I did! Rebooted I think 😉 So, BootBlock comes up and say ROM BIOS corrupt or something like that. The question I have is, can I take the BIOS chip from an earlier rev of the board and use it in the Rev F? Naturally, the first thing I would do is update the bios to the newest release. The bios releases seem to be Rev independent.

Thanks!
Geoff
