Bios chip question

Does anyone know if a bios chip from an MSI K8N Neo4-F chip will allow a MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum motherboard to boot up?

I have both motherboards, but I think the Platinum, whose chip is not working, is a better board and want to use it instead of the Neo4-F.

Shouldn't hurt to try. If it works, it's possible to then do a "hot flash" of the bad bios.
The procedure is:
Using a chip puller tool from Radio Shack, remove the known good bios chip.
Replace the bad chip [on the 2nd board] while including about 18" length of dental floss threaded underneath.
Boot the board from a bootable floppy disk.
Yank out the good bios chip using the dental floss.
While still powered up, carefully insert the bad bios chip, using only fingers.
Flash the bios. Replace the first chip back into it's original board.
Result: 2 working boards.
If all else fails, there are web sites that will reprogram (or sell a replacement) bios chip.
www.badflash.com is one example.
