HEy guys i am currently an Information Systems major but i wanna explore other fields too.

I think Bioinformatics is a interesting subject. Its a Mix of Computer Science and Biology.

I was trying to figure out what occupations a person with a BioInformatics Degree would get.

The occupational outlook handbook doesn't exactly say what field a Bioinformatic major would be in and i am wondering how much money i can expect to make if i happen to be a Bioinformatics major.

Well here is what I would guess: The process of using computers to model/demonstrate certain biological processes.

It is a broad description, but it is what came to mind upon reading your post.

You will develop programs perhaps to make documenting and databasing genotyping tests easier. Assist lab researchers by developing programs that compute dna samples and point out abnormalities.

BTW Bioinformatics majors are high in demand. Major money to be made.
