Binary newgroup reader for handling HUGE groups?

Been using trial versions of Newsleecher for some time now because it's the ONLY app that I've tried that doesn't choke on the largest of binary groups, those with 1-2 million threads. It's an OK app for what it does but it's too buggy for me to want to pay for it. Can anyone recommend another app? I've tried several but they all seem to choke on these large groups.

But why are you bothering with headers when there is nzb?

Yeah I've decided to give up on downloading the headers. I've just been behind the times and used to browsing the groups manual for what there was. As you say NZB + binsearch + forums is definitely the way to go. Thanks for the recommendation. I've heard good things about Newsbin. I ended up downloading alt.binz though which seems to work really nicely too.

Grabit works well and is free. If you want to pay, Newsleecher is great. Definitely do the nzb thing, NZBMatrix is a good site for finding things in a more organized fashion.

Thanks for the suggestion about NZBMatrix looks like a good site. Do they index absolutely everything on the groups they monitor? The thing I like about binsearch is that you can create customized NZBs from anything the search engine finds, so you could create one NZB file for a bunch of things you want to download or just one for each download like on other sites. It creates the NZBs on the fly.

Newsleecher I think has a yearly cost, but it has Super Search. Type in what you want and everything on usenet that matches your search terms comes up. Newsbin Pro can do this also but it also costs extra money. Grabit is fine with NZBMatrix.
