Bin Laden and Nukes?

Is there any possibility that this Bin Laden guy or whoever was responsible for yesterday's horrific acts, possess a nuke? Scary, but it just seems like anything is possible after yesterday

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think many Pakistani people are sympathetic to Bin Laden and Pakistan definitely has the bomb. Whether or not Bin Laden himself has access to nuclear force is probably unknown.

I do not believe that he or saddamn have access to nukes. I think that iraq is very close but not yet there as far as we know and I really don't think bin has one. If he had one he'd of used it already anyway.

They're dropped from a plane for a reason, an air-burst causes a wider damage radius than one exploded on the ground.

Plane is the best place to launch a nuke from. You don't want to do it at ground level but rather somewhat above the ground.

IMHO, depending on the "efficiency" of the bomb, radiation is not the main issue.

The devastation from the explosion and the heat raysare so devastating. It's like building a temporary Sun in the middle of a city. Annihilate everything..

It's not a matter of destruction. "Annihilation" is a more suitable term.

joohang, if you can smuggle a couple of grams of plutonium inside a country, and you put it inside a major water supply, you can kill millions within the year by cancer. there's no need to deploy the nuke, you just take the plutonium from it, and use that.
