That's perfect. If it's anything like my EJ20/TD04 it's start spooling @2k, pulling max Tq at about 3k, you can see it in my Dyno plot:

I love that middle band power, but I want to try a car with some anti-lag tech. Push the button, spool up the turbos, then hit the go fast pedal. Sounds epic. Yes, I am like Richard Hammond and am 8 years old inside.

Not at all. He's starting to see the light. That auto focus is never likely to kick any ass, but something viable might. The first step towards recovery is recognizing you have a problem.

Now is the time to recommend a cure. My recommendation would be a mid 90s F-body with a 6 speed if he's even remotely serious about a "bimmer killer."
 
stop ragging on the guy let him spend the 6g's and then we can laugh at him when his car still runs @ 16sec 1/4 mile.

So what does that prove? That your dad has deeper pockets? You started this thread about making a focus that could beat BMWs but now are planning on using a BMW to race because your focus isn't fast enough. 🙄

You've pretty much proved you're a teenager with one of his first cars. Like all teenagers you suddenly become a fan boy of whatever you happen to have because to you it's the awesomest thing in the world. To people that have actually owned and driven plenty of other cars it's just another econobox.
