Does anybody here use BillPoint? How secure is it comapred to PayPal? What kinda safeguards do they have in place to make sure I don't get screwed? Help would be nice =)

If someone does a chargeback, you as the seller are screwed. There's no protection against someone receiving an item and then refusing the charge, and having it deducted from your billpoint account.

Hey Max-

Are you scared? Cuz I am. haha. I'm getting myself another bank account tomorrow and then moving my PayPal account over to the new one.

i hate them. both. they charge an arm an a leg for processing payments. besides the fact that the person paying you can dispute the charge and put your $ in limbo for god knows how long..........

in god we trust, all others pay cash.

I like Billpoint because they automatically deposit money earned from sales into my checking account. I feel more confident with them than Paypal. Paypal has never screwed up my account, but you almost think you are dealing with some secondary market and not a bank. Is my money REALLY there? etc. The biggest beef with Billpoint is the chargeback thing, but I don't think Paypal provides much protection either.

Thankfully, I have not signed up my Checking account with them, although I thought about it. They do have 2 of my CC's on file though. Going back to MO's and checks will be tough if I decide to go the safest route
