Your paranoia isn't my reality.
If all of what you believe is true, the only answer is to shut down all social media. Pull the plug on everything.

It's not paranoia. Russian has been working this shtick in various countries since the late 90s and it's been steadily increasing.

Some info in case you're actually interested

"Russia has meddled in the affairs of at least 27 European and North American countries since 2004 with interference that ranges from cyberattacks to disinformation campaigns, according to an analysis by a surveillance organization.

The findings, provided to USA TODAY, show the meddling started in former Soviet republics allied with the West and spread to Western Europe. More recently affected are Canada and the United States, where Congress and an independent prosecutor are investigating possible Russian involvement in the 2016 presidential election.

The alleged Russian interference abroad was compiled by the Alliance for Securing Democracy of the German Marshall Fund, a nonprofit organization that fosters closer bonds between the United States and Europe. In August, the group began tracking Russian efforts to influence U.S. public opinion through a network of Twitter accounts that disseminates messages considered helpful to the Kremlin."

That's what they do in France, iirc.

Some things were isolated, that's true, but more to the point Macron didn't ignore the warnings and got proactive. The French set up an extensive counter operation and successfully blunted the GRU and SVRs efforts with honey pots and other techniques.

Remember folks, the Dutch caught the Russians in the act and taped them doing it for almost an entire year. Information learned from that was shared.

Well, yeh, but why would Trump want to inhibit the Russians from helping him out like they did in 2016? It wouldn't make any sense to a man who has no principles.

We need for people to disengage from their emotions & honestly consider their sources of information a lot more closely than anybody who voted for Trump ever did.

They also need to understand that Putin didn't throw in for Trump for no reason & that his intent is obviously hostile. Take a look at your marching companions, guys.

That won’t happen. Cutting Russia off like North Korea is the way to go.

Your remark about NKorea isn't accurate. Internet restrictions there are state imposed, not imposed by the ROTW.

It's fundamentally impossible for the US to cut off any nation's internet, anyway, given the way it all works.

Yeh, like China or Iran. Not a good look for America.

italy has a larger economy then russia. We should crush them financially. no Russian software, all large internet pipes cut and take all of the oligarch's property holdings in the united states via new laws regarding hidden shell company ownership of real estate.

Kinda moving the goalposts, aren't you?

The problem at the base of all of this is that Trumpsters deny that anybody could mess with their minds, because they're too smart. It's the dunning-kreuger effect at the level of mass delusion. That's largely because the Russians just doubled down on Trump's message & the GOP wedge issue messaging from Gingrich forward, at least, until Trump as President feels totally normal.
