Bill O'Reilly Loses His Damn Mind

In the entire, dark, black history of Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor, this is probably the craziest clip ever. A young girl was tragically killed by a drunk driver. But this was not enough for O'Reilly. Instead, because the criminal was an illegal alien he added this incident to his ongoing crusade against the brown people. Luckily Geraldo was on the show and he - to his credit - called out O'Reilly's xenophobia for exactly what it was. This drove Bill O'Reilly insane. I was almost certain he was going to reach across the table and hit Geraldo.

This is the leading face of cable news, right wing media, of the conservative voice in the media, and he's a freaking psycho. The kicker, O'Reilly concludes his tirade by saying "this is reason". Well, I guess that's what passes for it in today's MSM.

News conference held in response to Bill O'Reilly's criticism

The mayor and Tessa Trachant's father both said that making an issue out of immigration loses the focus that the girls were killed by a man that police said was driving drunk.
Ray Trachant said, "We need to heal, and to bring immigration, that's disrespectful to a family who's just mourning."

I can't stand Geraldo but how much longer are we going to let these idiots like O'Lielly take advantage?

About time to reinstate fairness in media legislation and have folks stand up to these RW nutters crap if they want to politicize just for the sake of being spiteful.

QUICK! Cut their mikes!

I think Geraldo is a knob, like the time he was pointing out troop positions or looking for Al Capone's Vault, but everyone once in a while he'll do something that'll make me think he's not such a knob.

This moment was one of them....

qft, I still lol remembering all the suspense buildup then he winds up looking very defeated in a empty ditch.

That was along time ago geez.

hahahahahaha what a couple of blowhards.

Do people really take OReilly seriously? I know people don't take Geraldo seriously.

I know I'd like to see any illegal that's caught doing a crime sent back to where they came from. Wasn't this the guys 3rd DUI? That's just downright neglect on our legal system.

This thread is an entire oximoron----Bill O'Reilly having a mind capable of independent thought not already bought and paid for---who would have possibly thunk it?

What we have here is a case of where O'Reilly went off half cocked---fully expecting to be talking to a fellow idiot---and not at all prepared to be be called out by someone like Riveria.
And what we saw in one unguarded moment is the true character of O'Reilly. As the mask slipped off and the real unscripted O'Reilly came into view.---nothing but a bully and a egomaniac.

Not that I agree with O'Rielly all the time, but in this particular case, he's right.

The simplist breakdown of this case is that first this man had to illegally cross the border. Meaning, he should not have been here.

Whatever position you have on immigration, there is no dispute that if this man had followed US law, he would never have been in this country to get drunk, and then go driving and kill someone.

Not saying the immigration policy shouldn't be changed here, because I think it should, but that really has nothing to do.

Riveria was right in that it is about DD, but I think O'Rielly is right to on this one...

Chuck

why do people listen to demagogues like o'reilly or coulter?

Thats super easy---because they get to live out their vicarious fantasies---of having the snappy comeback that demolishes their opponents and leaves them the smartest person in the room---never stopping for a moment to consider that why O'Reilly and Limbaugh get away with it is the fact they won't engage in honest debate with anyone who questions them. And soon after you are likely to find the same people glued to the tube watching world wide wrestling---and booing the bad guys and thrilled when when the good guy wins again---once again snatching victory from the bad guys who use dirty tricks.

Their lives are validated.---when they see the truth in their hero.

I find it very difficult to believe that anyone who considers themself a republican or a conservative in good conscious has anything even remotely resembling respect or admiration for that wackjob that is Bill O'Reilly or his self-promoting circus sideshow.

Surely, he is not the conservative voice of the media, he's the attention whoring, showboating, ratings-grabber of the media. O'Reilly is to cable news what you, Steeplerot are to P&N - a loudmouth, spewing endless talking points with his fingers in his ears to avoid hearing, much less even considering any opposing views. Why take the risk of consider differing views when you can simply declare yourself to be right and anyone else who disagrees with you must just be part of the global conspiracy you're fighting against, right?

If you two weren't sitting on opposite sides of the fence, you'd probably find that you have a *lot*in common.

The problem is is that orielly is trying to use this event to smear illegal immigrants as criminals, and this being a result of illegal immigration. Fact is this happened because someone decided to drive drunk, not because they immigrated illegally. The fact is is that illegals commit crimes at a lower rate than natives. if you want to reduce crime, deport the natives.

Grow up loser this is not about me.

Correct, it's about personalities that use their soapboxes to divert attention away from real issues in order to jump aboard bandwagons and illogical talking points that "magically" support their positions.

Bill has little to no footing in the real world, and for you to declare him the mouthpiece for anything but a fringe group of conservatives is just a testament to how far you, too, are removed from reality.

O'Reilly is a TV personality, not a beacon of fairness and logical reason. No one is confusing that blowhard with Walter Cronkite, ergo your suggestions to "reinstate fairness in media legislation" seems more than a bit out of place.

Do you also believe Jimmy Swaggart and Pat Robertson to be the mouthpieces for Christians around the world? For whatever reason - vanity and social detachment, I assume - you seem to willfully ignore the large moderate base of most groups. You see extremists as the norm, and use this to further your own agenda - not unlike O'Reilly is this clip in reference to illegal immigration.

True, but I disagree with the part about illegal immigrants committing less crimes than natives. By their very definition, 100% of "illegal" immigrants have committed a crime. 😉 (Actually I think that most immigration laws are civil matter, however.)

But yes, they do, as a group, commit less crimes (other than illegally residing here,) but I think that is largely attributed to the fact that they also have much more to lose than your average rights-holding citizens.

No he is a loser that loves coming in and laying down personal attacks to troll, you wouldn't know as you are new.

New or not, JD50 hit the nail on the head. 😀

And it's funny that you accuse of cKGunslinger of "laying down personal attacks," because your sole response to his post was calling him a "twit."

It is the same stupid argument, "zomg hes just like who he hates" if ckumdumpster doesent like me he can just stay out or stick to the topic, he knows better.
