Bill of Sale

I'm taking payments over on a truck and in order to put it on my insurance all he needs to give me is his personal information and a bill of sale. Where can he get a bill of sale? Is it something that he writes up saying that he agrees to let me take over payments, blah blah

Hm, never done a bill of sale for a car that wasn't paid off.

You shouldn't need a bill of sale. All the seller needs to do is ensorse the back of the registration and sign it over to you. At least that's how it's done where I live.
