Three weeks ago, a Nassau County Supreme Court justice ended a bitter three-year custody dispute between Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly and his ex-wife, Maureen McPhilmy, by granting custody of the couple’s two minor children to McPhilmy. Though nearly all documents pertaining to New York family court cases are sealed, Gawker has learned that the justice in the case heard testimony accusing O’Reilly of physically assaulting his wife in the couple’s Manhasset home.

According to a source familiar with the facts of the case, a court-appointed forensic examiner testified at a closed hearing that O’Reilly’s daughter claimed to have witnessed her father dragging McPhilmy down a staircase by her neck, apparently unaware that the daughter was watching. The precise date of the alleged incident is unclear, but appears to have occurred before the couple separated in 2010. The same source indicated that the daughter, who is 16 years old, told the forensic examiner about the incident within the past year.

And, in typical conservative fashion, he has criticized others who partake in violent behavior:
The anchor has spent his highly remunerated career obsessing over patterns of violence among racial minorities, particularly black people, and the apparently unique effect of violence on the integrity of black families. As he fulminated on-air in December 2014: “The astronomical crime rate among young black men—violent crime—drives suspicion and hostility. ... No supervision, kids with no fathers—the black neighborhoods are devastated by the drug gangs who prey upon their own. That’s the problem!”

Or, as O’Reilly claimed in August: “The reason there is so much violence and chaos in the black precincts is the disintegration of the African-American family.”

Also, in typical conservative fashion, Bill used his influence to harass his ex-wife's new boyfriend and get her excommunicated from her church.

Bill is a bully - and a cuckold who can't keep his wife any better than he could keep his temper.

So "gawker has learned" is now evidence? I don't have any stake in whether Bill O is a scumbag or not, it is completely irrelevant to me. What will be funny is watching the frothing-at-the-mouth lefties going nuts with allegations.

If Hillary Clinton was a man and had remained a Republican she'd look a lot like Bill O'Reilly. BTW, has anyone ever seen the two of them at the same time?

He was always my favorite guest on Colbert and on Stewart. Such a hillarious man. His applies such a thin layer of satire, its even quasi believeable sometimes. Whatever the case, I hope nobody was harmed, and that he is able to stay on TV as "the least irrational man on fox news." (yes, I realize that is setting a very very low bar)

They were right about this story; http://gawker.com/5834808/how-bill-...his-wifes-boyfriend-investigated-by-the-cops#

So, they aren't pulling things out of their ass.

They're probably not making up the testimony, but a testimony of a child who was at most 11 years old is not the most airtight thing in the world. She could have been misinterpreted what she saw, if she saw it at all - there are early childhood "memories" I've swore were real that I've eventually come to the conclusion were just some confusion over dreams.

First and foremost, McPhilmy herself should at least corroborate this.

Dunno whether it's true or not, but I wouldn't expect him to be any less of an abusive asshole in his private life than he is on the air. It's one of those basic character traits.

The divorce decree & subsequent support payments are likely predicated on a non-disclosure agreement. Therefore, her lips are sealed.

I'd be surprised if he didn't hit his wife. He's a hot head.

Possible domestic abuse by one of the rights most vocal supporters and what's the rights response? 'Let's hold off until the facts are in!'

It's the correct response but it's odd coming from a group of people who are the first repeat baseless accusations and conspiracies when it involves the other "team".

Hypocrisy, a staple for the bubble dwellers.

I stopped watching "the leprechaun" when he defended Dan Rather AFTER it was proven he used false docs.
