And you know what? I don't really give two shitz! LOL! Whatever is floating around up there in your brain and the comments you make are nothing but your opinion and is meaningless to me and apparently a lot of other people. 🙂

Have a GREAT day!

It is not an opinion that you gave no facts to support what you said. It is a fact. What you don't give two shits about is truth and of course you are also a liar because you do give two shits. You just had to come back and pronounce that what I said was just opinion when it wasn't.

And now you have two facts shoved up your ass to add to your company.

You know what? Just STFU you insignificant little turd. LOL! What you say or think has no impact on me or anyone with any ability to think on their own. All you do is try to manipulate and honestly, you are transparent and as far as I can tell, fail at your endeavors the majority of the time. You obviously have phsycological/mental problems but to be honest, at times your quips provide comic relief to many here but that is about the extent of your usefullness.

He is often right but it's the ahole way he says it that turns me sour.

The answer to fools is silence. Experience has shown, however, that in the long run any other answer will have the same effect.

And I have no fixed way I do anything. Sometimes I am an ahole like you would feel like you are if you did what I do in that case. Sometimes I say we aren't ever guilty of anything. However, I am interested in anything you may have to add to this that others will believe. I'm going to start myself by working to not become sour that you called me an ahole. But it won't be easy. 😉

Isn't this the guy calling the US cowards right after 911? Why is he even kind of relevant?

No. He was the guy who - when some commentators called the 911 terrorists "cowards" - pointed out that cowards don't typically willingly die for what they believe in.

In certain contexts, dying for what you believe in is called "heroism."

It's interesting that you didn't write, "or anyone else with any ability to think on their own." That Freudian slip pretty much sums up where you stand: You don't have the ability think on your own.

Oh wow, you got me there! ROTFLMAO! Is this all you kids have to do? You are just amazing aren't you? A legend in your own mind!😀

What is he

Inflammatory, cynical, and bitter but very intelligent. Honestly I see Rush the same way in several respects - the guy is probably about equal on the other end of the spectrum and is intentionally inflammatory on many issues, but he's ultimately very intelligent. Rush is probably a better businessman though - Bill strongly believes what he is saying for the most part whereas Rush knows what his audience wants to hear and gives it to them, regardless of his personal beliefs.

I would highly prefer private fire departments. Allow private fire departments to operate for only paying properties. Keep a skeleton of basic safety protocol legislation under which fire departments operate, and leave operational details to the departments themselves, and let the insurance market deal with the operational aspects that right now gum up municipal politics. Set up a framework in which insurers, fire fee payers and fire departments openly negotiate performance targets and operational policies.

There's a HUGE negative externality in that approach. if your house is between two deadbeats that don't have fire protection you're fucked.

Not in any neighborhood I plan to live in. In areas where neighboring structures actually do pose such a risk, then the nature of the situation becomes akin to liability insurance on the road. i.e. then there is a reasonable basis for a fire coverage mandate. However mandating coverage is still very easily done within a private system. There is no good reason why it would have to be public.

Your post brings to light one of the basic unspoken tenets of big government: the perceived need for most government services is largely a product of urbanization. However even then, the fact that there are greater externalities imposed by individuals' behavior on their neighbor due to decreased proximity only rarely means that there is no way to construct a market solution that efficiently manages those externalities.

The free-marketer mantra: If a big, unregulated company's negligence kills you, your heirs can sue.

Maher is a lot of things, but dumb is not one of them.

You have to question the intellect (or rather, how well informed someone is) if they've questioned the effectiveness of vaccines (yes, all vaccines) as not settled science or made overtones that Oswald wasn't the only killer of JFK's. He's really not that smart and neither is Rush. Rush says demonstrably stupid things he truly believes; once said on Leno that what you're paid by a "free market" is always what you've "earned" even if 99.9% of the market wouldn't actually pay you half that wage. Of course, I'm being kind with Rush, he has uttered quite a bit more stupid than that.

I don't watch the guy but he made some spot on points about the hypocrisy that is the teabag movement. They should rename themselves the window movement since they are so woefully transparent.
