I liked PI myself. Maybe because it pissed of the Red Assed Head Up The Ass Ultra Conservative Religious Right Wankers so much.

Politically Incorrect was alright. His new show just has this attitude of "OOOH OOOH Look at me! I said something to piss off the rubes and I was down and out and HBO picked me up to fill a void! I'm king sh!t!!!"

Could just be me though.

I loved last week when Bill took it to Ann Coulter.
 
I saw Bill on Leno last night. Seemed to be the same old Bill.
I heard an interview with on NPR several months back.
He stated up and down that we were not going to war with Iraq, that it was just a political move
to divert attention from the piss poor economy. I think he might be right and wrong...

Although his rants are obviously contrived, he actually freestyles quite well 🙂
 
I like Maher better too...he's not afraid to piss people off with what he says and doesn't mince words.

It seemed like him ripping Ann Coulter to shreds was almost a weekly thing on PI - he was good at tearing ultra-conservatives a new one.
 
The silliest thing about PI was that the panel was usually 3 libs to 1 conservative........well when you figure in Maher, thats 4 liberals to the lone conservative.

maher is a lib, but not a liberal. he is a libertarian. a lot of his views are rather conservative actually.

the guy makes good points though.
 
I like both of them.

That Ann Coulter chick was asking for it though, throwing around "Treason" for the Democrats not applauding Bush's announcement of NMD was more than a little over the top and draconian.
 
Never much of a Dennis Miller fan here... Well, not since his SNL days, anyway.

And although I have yet to see the new Maher show, PI simply rocked! It's a complete shame how it went down.

His show was "ambush the conservative", he is so bitter now I can't really watch him any more. I saw his bit on Leno and it was really bad. Dennis Miller was lot funnier and doesn't seem as angry and bitter.

Miller's rant on peace protesters with "Bush is a Nazi" signs was great.


Maher is now all about saving the animals, hating anybody religious and of course demonizing Republicans.
