I want to see this houseboat thing and I'm far too lazy to search for it. Someone hook me up.

I'd certainly hope so - otherwise my job would be really boring!

Yeah, what's the story here?

Should be rather self explanatory. Home and work together.

Lola must be jealous. :p

Actually her better half and self want to work on a ship and disconnect from the landlubber life. Great idea. :)

honestly... wtf is going on here?

Back when the OP was entered, we were chartered with a bunch of folks from tech companies. The weather really sucked and it was quite rough. A carelessly placed Coke upset and its contents drained squarely within the crevices of my (now destroyed) Logitech G15 keyboard. The display went totally awry and apparently the shift key started activating itself many times as the STICKY KEYS window popped up! Talk about a funny coincidence! Yeah so I had sticky keys.

You don't know that. :)

Hate is very strong. There's a voltage drop in the 7505 that feeds the logic of the sarchasm meter. It could be a bad solder joint. ;)

So, you don't care that you ruined a ~$50 keyboard and are happy with a ~$10 Dell keyboard? ;)

Not really. The Logitech has better feel but shows wear way too fast. I like the buckling spring (IBM -M) keyboards but they make soo much noise people look at you like you're a dork and we can't have that. Keytronic has a very nice feel - quiet but feels like the M models. I hate how all these keyboards REQUIRE USB. Complicated machine I have here - A8N32-SLI cannot have legacy USB support enbabled in BIOS. Why? it causes memory errors. Fine so I turn it off. Then there is no keyboard support after the RAID BIOS screen. If I need to use Ghost or another DOS program I am keyboardless. The solution is to have two keyboards - one plugged into the PS2 port. So I have dual keyboards. All this will be history when the rest of the parts come for a dual - dual core 2 (conroe) xeon based system. :D

You can clean your keyboard by unplugging it, then swish it around in soapy water in a 5 gallon bucket. Rise it off, then let it dry for several hours (turn it to different angles while drying). If you can put it outside in the sun, that's even better. (Hang it from a clothesline! Geek laundry!)

This was tried without success. I guess when keyboards have as much logic as an ipod they die like an ipod when they get inundated with sugarwater that's supersaturated with carbon dioxide and phosphoric acid. No wonder the stuff works as good as liquid wench.
