Bill Gates denied access by Nigerian Immigration

It seems that Nigeria recently denied Bill Gates a visa to travel there on his recent trip to Africa. The initial denial was "on the premise that they required proof he would not reside in Nigeria indefinitely, causing a strain on social services and a general nuisance for immigration."

Do you really think he'd be a strain on their Food Stamp system.. ya 'know we impoverished Americans are known for seeking in to wealthy Nigeria to get free assistance.

I thought we went there to help the sons of deposed/deceased Nigerian princes retrieve many funds from banks of foreign origin (I pray). Maybe Bill was just trying to help some nice person get their money unlocked. 😀

Why ignore or bypass the fact that SOCIAL welfare is also very expensive. But at least when a company gets some aide (usually with obligation to repay), people (employees) do not loose their shirts and will not need social welfare. The employee benefits, the economy benefits, and the Government benefits from it. Quite often It's a win win for everyone. But what company gets aide is also highly circumstantial and the criteria can often depend on how important that industry or business is to the national economy or security.
