Yeah, I know you guys know I like using OSS.

However, check out the comments in the screwdriver section, I was cracking up laughing.

Yes Linux has poor interopability with MS software's undocumented and corrupted "standards". Frankly I'm amazed they have been able to reverse engineer SMB so well.

Yes Linux has poor interopability with MS software's undocumented and corrupted "standards". Frankly I'm amazed they have been able to reverse engineer SMB so well.

CIFS was developed by IBM then MS added some extensions to it as renamed SMB. And the docs for it can be located here: <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/developr/drg/CIFS/">ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/developr/drg/CIFS/</a> Not a really undocumented.
