Clinton was named the “Father of the Year” by the National Father’s Day Council on Wednesday.

The group selected Clinton for his “profound generosity, leadership and tireless dedication to both his public office and many philanthropic organizations,” Dan Orwig, chairman of the National Father’s Day Committee, said in the announcement.

The award will be presented at a luncheon in June.

Unbelievable. Obama is a far better father than this dirtbag. Call him a master politician if you wish. But please don't insult good fathers by calling an adulterer a good father.

Gee, I thought to you (in regards to the Vitter thread) adultery was no big deal.

You might take note I didn't call him a good father either, nor a good husband, nor a good man. I said it doesn't disqualify him from criticizing Reid for Reid's comments about Katrina being nothing compared to Sandy.

Giving Obama the Nobel Peace prize was worse, but only in comparison. Clinton only gave his intern a facial while in the White House................

If that's what makes him a father then what's their definition of a father? Being generous, a leader, dedicated to his public office and philanthropic organizations? Shouldn't at least one criteria reference his daughter?

It's now also known as the "non sequitur award" as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure there are many devoted fathers who have gone as far as giving their lives for their children, yet a politician wins for no reason related to being a father. What a screwed up society.

Seems like they are just picking names out of a hat for these kinds of awards lately.

John Edwards and Hulk Hogan were honored in 2007.
Gen. Petraeus got his honor in 2009.

I wonder why Clinton was no selected shortly after winning the white house the first time.

You're behaving as if "National Father’s Day Council" really means anything. If you want, why don't you go found the "International Father's Day Council" or "International Father of the Year Foundation" (IFOTYF dot com is available), start a website, and send a release to newspapers around the world with some sort of selection. Put some adsense ads on the page & reel in some profits for a month or two.

Frankly, that's a very good idea.
