I find it funny how Bill Clinton was there for bush when a lot of people on the left didn't trust him and it looked like he was going to fail as a president. Bill came to the rescue as well as Carter to try to pull everyone back together early in bushes term.

Why hasn't bush asked the right to come together in support of Obama?

Maybe it would make matters worse since after all he had the lowest ratings of any sitting president. I'm wondering if bush did ask the extreme right to pull for Obama do you think it would have helped?

He'd probably muck it up and by the time he finished making the plea, Bullets would be flying.

Did that conservative hitman Chris Wallace do the interview? lol

I love how the OP managed to somehow bring in criticism of Bush from a Clinton parnoia article.

Bush is too stupid to make a PBJ, much less make his own decisions. What makes you think a man who can't speak his native language fluently could influence anyone to do anything? On second thought, I take that back.

Area 51 had a liberal alien in containment. He escaped some time ago and has been busy working on making people see the "vast right-wing conspiracy".

What's really funny is I used this same term as a joke in another forum.

It really could be this simple- There is not much Bush could say in support of Obama, because there isn't much he cares for. Rather than attacking him publicly, he says nothing at all.

When Bush was first elected, not much went on. In the equivalent time Obama came out with his agenda and has been pushing it. It's not a case of 'well let's see what he tries before we say anything", which is what Clinton did. We know what he's doing and the Republicans don't like it. If the "conspiracy" is not to bend over, then yeah there is one. I don't particularly like either party, but it is what it is. No one is going to suck the Big Lollipop in DC to make the opposition happy.

he is fesity and wants to keep himself relevant.

so he shoots out comments and makes heroic appearances depending on what his
PR meter reads.

bill has his own culpability in the financial market meltdow to come to terms with,
assuming you beleive the causes attributed to him are valid.

He signed the bill de-regulating sectors of the financial markets and championed
the type of loans to sub prime housing candidates (through Fannie and Freddie)
that helped break the buck.

Lucky for Obama, so far only Orly has accused him of murder to cover up a homosexual affair.

Hopefully soon some R in the HoR will be producing a video showing how he did it.

well the republicans have pretty much disowned bush, that and I doubt he wants to be in the spot lite anymore no one has even heard a peep out of him. Even if he did come out and say he supported obama or whatever, it wouldn't accomplish anything probably just make more people hate him.

I never said the GOP doesn't, everyone does its a way of getting people on your side. What about we need to pass this stimulus or the economy will collapse? or the hurry and pass my health care bill before everyone dies. You just agree with theirs

Easy.
Start with a partisan and mention anything that the opposite party does. Presto! Instant conspiracy, just add water.

In regard to the Stimulus Bill the Tarp program was first implemented by Bush and then Obama pushed through another stimulus plan where a major portion of it was dedicated to improving our decaying i infrastructure but the GOP stripped a lot of that out in favor of tax cuts which do squat for stimulating the economy,

The reason why the health care bill is being rushed is two fold...

1) the GOP killed health reform in '94 by stalling stalling stalling.

2)It's about fucking time we reform healthcare so it doesn't further bankrupt our economy.

I am not holding my breath on any meaningful reform because for the most part Congress is OWNED by big pharma, big oil and the insurance industry lining their pockets. This was evident when Max Baucus released his bill from the Senate which was a f'in joke.

JFK regretted that speech. I'm not sure what the relevance is - it has some interesting things on the press, but as far as conspiracy, it was about the now-defunct communists.

I realize the democrats are in bad shape, but I wouldn't call them 'now-defunct' - Not yet at least. Show some pride in your party!
