Bikers - what kind of seat do you use?

I've been making 30-50 mile trips lately and towards the second half, on my way back to where I started, it hurts to sit down.

I haven't ever changed the seat that my mountain bike came with and so I assume I just need a new seat. Any advice on this? I did a quick Google search and didn't see a simple explanation of what I need to change.

Yep, been mostly on the road.

Pissing needles, huh? I'll have to deal with that when I get to it I guess :p

Well, to save you from having to deal with it you can pick up a nice pair of biking shorts (with appropriate padding).

Saddles on the other hand are kind of different for everyone, you may have to try a couple before you find a comfortable one that you can take on the long hauls.

I have a Terry Liberator and do ok with that. Try a local bike shop and see if they'll let you try a couple, or find an REI, purchase, test, return if it sucks and pick something else out.
