Trying to help a friend out here...he bought a Bianchi to fix up and the shop jokingly said on a message that if he knew what it meant, they'd give him a discount. So if someone could help me out...I'd appreciate it :)

Maybe Disc-brake I* Single Speed?

hehe...didn't know that site existed :p But I'm fairly sure it's Single Speed, as the frame material varies from D.I.S.S. to B.U.S.S. and S.A.S.S. seems to be a standard naming convention for that model as it evolved over the years.

I think it's Disc Integrated Single Speed. You might want to PM Fausto since his team is sponsored by Bianchi.

Anyway I like their PUSS model better... Pink Ultimate Single Speed. :D

PMing Fausto was the first thing I did...but I didn't know he was sponsored by Bianchi! Hopefully he can help.

If you do a search for cycling and DISS you get several hits regarding that combination.

Maybe one of those holds your answer?

Didn't think to try "cycling", thanks...just searched for combinations of "biking", "bianchi", "bike" and "D.I.S.S."

After looking at 7 google/Bianchi sites and reading 10 reviews of the Bianchi DISS, I still don't know for sure, but I'm guessing the earlier post was correct; Disc Integrated Single Speed.

Sounds like a pretty sweet SS.

Yeah, I had guessed "Integrated", but didn' tknow if that was a valid bicycle term.
