Trackball > mouse

no. And I doubt he is actually playing that many accounts. That set up looks staged. Why would he use laptops when it would be cheaper and easier to make gaming boxes?

They are shammies. 36 chain lightnings hit your raid at once? Half the AV raid would die instantly.

More than likely he was using what he had already for some of it.

there are a lot of people that run 5 ele shamans currently in wow, its not that hard actually
ive seen people do 5 druids so they can run instances theyselfs, there are programs that let you bind all the keys to 1 keyboard, and if classes are same spec the keys can do the same thing for everyone

hell someone 5 boxed 5 shamans to Glad in arena in season 2/3

its not hard if you have the time/money/desire to do it

also there are people on this forum that dual box

Yeah. I haven't played since BWL was released so I guess a lot has changed. Dual boxing was still frowned upon back then. I just don't buy it. The set up just seems kinda shady. As someone who played on a laptop I know that it doesn't run as well as you can get it to run on desktop. All those lappy's look pretty new. I personally bet it is an advertising thing.

Maybe, maybe not.

I think on the playability front, you're assuming he gives a damn what it looks like - or what res he's playing at. Given he's only looking at a quarter of each screen (and likely only watches one screen) he probably doesn't. It doesn't take much to run wow in a 640x480 (or whatever the min res is) window with all the gfx options turned down. The only one he needs to have decent draw distance/res/etc on is the one he watches.

It's funny to see a story about this - someone pointed me to his armory link (they're all in one guild, of course) last week. It was pretty obvious then that it was a single person who multi-boxed. My comment was on the scintillating quality of guild chat.

What is a "dkp"?

It stands for Dragon Kill Points, it was created for guilds etc to be able to assign a points value to a raid so when an item drops you can buy that using the dkp you earned by showing up for the raids etc.

I was thinking the same thing. 8+ trackballs for 36 instances? <boggle>

Nope mine is better :p I remember that guy you posted though, there are even more out there but since I have been out of WoW for so long now I dont remember where they are.

I can't imagine raiding with people like this. I'm sure they are typically more successful in the end, but I'm not paying $15/mo. to be in a hostile environment. That has to get old fast. Just the other day in SSC we had a couple PUGers and at the end they actually commented on vent how great it was to raid with people who respected each other and not curse or make immature comments every chance they get.

My thoughts exactly. I wonder how many circuits he uses. I bet at least four 15-amp circuits, probably more.

The patience required to set this up boggles my mind. The characters would have to be levelled up in smaller groups - max 5 - to either run instances, or avoid wiping out the outdoor zones faster than they can respawn. Even if he ran several groups of 5 at once, in various different zones, the monotony of levelling all of these is maddening.

Hilarious effect, though :p

He clearly has the money to do anything he wants, and this is what he chose. /shrug

WoW gets a lot of hate, but there are worse things in life, y'know.

So, where does he get the money for all this?... $5k/mo is an expensive habit. He probably has larger expenses for his fix than ZJ.
