Nice find. I heard this on the radio in Atlanta this morning. Living in a Buckhead highrise doesn't necessarily indicate much of anything. Also, this guy is such a poser that he doesn't even know the difference between Bimmer and Beemer.

His almost delusional ego reminds me of a few ATers that shall remain nameless :D

Or maybe he does know the difference but isn't pedantic enough to care or would rather use the word that is more commonly used among non-"enthusiasts."

The sad part about xkcd is how many comics I can relate to:(

8.9 on Hot or Not

...my dead grandpa was at 9.4 when I stopped keeping track and had three people wanting to get in touch with him. (no, I'm not kidding)

uhh why did you put your dead grandpa on hot or not? Just curious...

My cousin did after I we found an old picture of him in the Navy that looked like my cousin.

The guy makes some good points. I'm done bashing him.

yeah he does.

he is right. i would rather be friends with him the the women that leaked the emails.

Now we need to do the same thing to the woman who sent the e-mail! /irony

Nevertheless...being an extra in movies doesnt qualify him as an actor.
And what kind of self-respecting man forgoes finances and "Wharton" for extra roles in movies? Plus it doesn't really seem like he has an MBA from Wharton...he said he "took classes" there. It could be while he was an undergrad. Once again, no egotistical bastards will fail to mention that he has a MBA from Penn.

I have worked & consulted for several Fortune 500 companies, including Time Warner, USA Today, GTE, Sprint, Pitney Bowes & Limited Brands. I have saved 2 of these companies almost $1 million dollars combined.

Would 500k matter all that much to any of these companies?

One thing that does baffle me is his expectation of privacy in an E-mail.

I did not go to Penn. I do not have a Masters from Wharton. But even I, who went to the lowly University of Pittsburgh, learned in my 100-level undergraduate business classes that you never put anything in writing, whether on the internet or in a letter, that you wouldn't want to be public information. In fact, this is a widely-expressed maxim in the business world, "If you wouldn't want it to show up on the front page of the newspaper, don't write it."

I don't necessarily think that he's BS-ing, but he clearly is lacking interpersonal skills and has an ego that really ought to be taken down a few pegs.

Of course, I'm sure that people have said that about me too. :p

This has been thoroughly enjoyable. He didn't make a mistake or commit a small crime, he's just an asshole plain and simple. His "grandkids" will hopefully see right through it.

He got what he deserved. He sends a generic form letter instead of writing something semi-personal to the woman. She politely turns him down. That should have been the end to the story. But instead, what he emails is completely uncalled for and makes him an asshat. If he doesn't want to be called a tool, he shouldn't have that website up with the whole world to see, displaying his ego and arrogance.

He got knocked down a bunch of pegs where he should be.

There's no such thing as a "private" E-mail unless you already have a contractually agreed-upon privacy clause or can prove that it's somehow related to trade secrets, etc. Personal correspondence is not private and never has been. That's why the conventional wisdom has always been not to ever put anything down on paper that you aren't comfortable with the whole world seeing. This age-old advice now extends, logically, to the internet as well.

It's not as though the lady went around calling up the local papers to get this in the headlines. For all we know, she simply posted it in her blog and it somehow caught on without her ever thinking it would. Then again, I suppose that sort of thing never happens. No-one has ever posted something that they thought would just be ignored only to have it catch like wildfire. It certainly never happened to Gary Brolsma when he posted his lip synching to that Numa Numa song. Nor did it happen to the people who dubbed Zero Wing into English with the line "All your base are belong to us".

We just don't have enough evidence to conclude that the spurned woman was truly a bitch.

We do have more than enough evidence to conclude that this guy has the interpersonal skills of a narcissistic teenager though. Still, he's not as bad as the "My marketing efforts will dominate your face!" guy.
