I know all the ATOT'ers are mega-bajillionaires, but I'm asking anyway:

What's the largest raise (as a percentage of income) that you've ever received?

For my part, as a degree'd professional, I got 11% about a year ago, which was my largest until I got another 25% today.

(sorry, it's a pseudo-brag. I'm just so damn stoked)
 
I as able to wrangle a 23% raise when I was 2 years into my current job. Leveraged a competitor's offer basically. Not usually much higher than 5-7% tho atm. Comes in strides then baby steps.

In 2006 I made $15,000 for the year, for 2007 I made $53,000.

 
First job out of Uni I got 53% for my first year. I was grossly underpaid...

At an actual job, I got an 8 percent raise last year (average for the organization was 4 percent).

Going from unemployed (most of 2006) to employed (all of 2007) netted me a 700% raise. That doesn't really count though.
 
I'm at my second job out of college and within the past month I got my first raise; 20% (I've been here just shy of a year).
 
Biggest raise at same company with only a promotion was roughly 50%. Things worked out very, very well for me.

The downside is I really didnt feel it because of all the OT I worked before I got the raise (Went from hourly to salary).

The upside is I dont work nearly as much OT.

5.25/hr to 6.25/hr 😀

Pay is awful where I live. First job at 16 was 5.25, to 6.25, to 7.25 over the course of about three years. Worked at campus a couple of summers... 5.50/hr the first time, 7.20/hr this past summer (due to Michigan minimum wage increase). My second semester at university, I had this temp job that paid $9/hr with no taxes, that seemed like alot! Finally, on my co-op I felt damn near rich. I learned that some of the people I worked with (electronics techs) who knew way more than I did and did way more work made less than the $14.50/hr I made, which is pretty crappy (although they got benefits). Should be making almost twice that come this summer when I graduate.

I switched companies 5yrs into my employment out of college. I was due a 20 - 25% raise within 60-days of my departure anyway.












 
33% switching jobs after less than a year into my professional career. I should've realized that's the way to go instead of sticking it out long term at one place. Too late now.
