I just got a 19% raise with no new responsibilities or new title. My boss said it reflected the level and quality of work I was doing.

What is the biggest raise you have ever gotten? What did it entail?

And how should I thank my boss?

Most of my jobs have paid crap for bonuses, but I couldn't complain about base salary. At two different companies I got 33%. First time was $30K-$40K early in my career. The following two years got me another $10K increase each, but obviously is less percentage-wise.

The second time was $75K-$100K. That second could technically be considered a promotion, but truthfully it was the same job with a different title. I resigned my position due to job dissatisfaction and they begged me to stay with a load more money and a new title. Who was I to argue?

Biggest single raise? 3% COLA. Largest annual total, probably 6% between COLA, fitness incentive and annual 2% step increase.

I had a 9% with a 9% bonus one year. Doubt I'll ever see that again though, we just knocked down to 3.9% max/yr.

31% was my largest single raise.
Technically I got a new title, but my responsibilities stayed the same.
Largest single bonus $5000
Largest single commission check $32,000 (single month)
Those glory days are looooooooong gone.

Does switching jobs count? If so.. heh i went from around 36k - 54k.

Otherwise it's the standard 3-4%

My best non-promotion raise was 10% IIRC. Best promotion raise was around 25%.

My wife just switched jobs and got a 50% raise. Makes me want to switch too!

The only time I've gotten a raise is when I switch jobs.

I went from $32k to $51k. From $51k to $65k, which the company then reduced by 10% due to the economy. I left and I'm at $74k now.

Largest raise? Without switching companies I received a 87% raise plus a way larger bonus (it was a new position).

Since then... about 25%, also a new position... but basically same thing I had started doing just given an official title.
